About Our First Lady

Our First Lady Rev. Donna Hill
Rev. Donna Hill is a native of Prince George’s County and, as a child growing up, loved to nurture animals and help people. Her mother would tell her, “You’re going to be a veterinarian or nurse one day.” Though she never officially pursued either field, her position as an ordained Minister allows her to combine her desire to be a healer, helper, and nurturer.

Rev. Donna received the Lord and got baptized at the age of 19 at Corinthian Baptist Church in Oakland, California. While at Corinthian, she sang in the choir, served as President of the Youth Department, and was a member of the Missionary Board. Though she loved serving at Corinthian, in 1990, she was led by the Lord to return to Prince George’s County. She united with New Chapel Baptist Church and faithfully served as a former Sunday School Teacher, Missionary, Choir Member, Academy Principal, and Christian Education Instructor. She currently serves as the First Lady of New Chapel and was honored in 2016 by Praise 104.1 for being one of the Top 20 First Ladies in the DMV. Rev. Donna also serves as the Director of the Counseling Ministry and Overseer of the Women’s Ministry. In addition, Rev. Donna is the former Quality Assurance Advisor to Y.E.L.L and served as the Celebrate Recovery Leader at “The Chapel” for seven years, from March 2008 until March 2015. In 2017, she also taught a dating and relationship class with her husband for Young Adults.
Her thirst for spiritual and educational knowledge came to fruition in 1994 when she graduated from Prince George’s Community College, earning an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies. Two years later, in 1996, she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maryland, College Park, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Afro-American Studies. She continued her quest and earned her Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1999.

Rev. Donna was ordained a Reverend on January 22, 2006, after being licensed to preach since 2000.
To accent her biblical studies, she attended Howard University School of Divinity for three semesters. In addition, she received her Evangelism Diploma from New Chapel Baptist Church Institute of Christian Education in July of 2006. Also known for being a savvy businesswoman, Rev. Donna was selected to participate in Leadership Prince George’s, a one-year program that enhances leadership skills among county leaders. She graduated from the program in June 2006. In addition, Rev. Donna was certified as a Sherpa Business Coach in September of 2015.
